Annie Lennox
Annie Lennox born December 25 of 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox won a scholarship award to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox's budget was increased by a stipend to students as well as part-time employment. When she was at the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied in her ability in comparison to her fellow students and she pondered what alternative direction she would take. Lennox began her career as musician within the band Dragons Playground. The group didn't appear on the talent contest New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop band from the UK. That was also where she met Dave Stewart with whom she would form her pop group Eurythmics. Lennox worked on her solo first album Diva. The album was released in 1993.
